Micah Kress is a Filmmaker, Director, and Producer based out of Boulder, Colorado.
Working closely with the Head of the Film Department while collaboration with the Sundance Film Festival Institute, his efforts are focused on broadening access to filmmaking experiences.
The main goal to provide increased opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring that film education is inclusive and widely available.

As the Student Advisor of GUT-C! I work with the Head of the Cinema Department as well as The International Film Series Director to promote local and global guest speakers and all GUT-C! Production film events and networks. In 2025, GUT-C! produced its first short film and was a Best Mockumentary Award Finalist at the Texas Short Film Festival. On January 23rd, GUT-C! and IFS will be collaborating to bring the GUT-C and CU film community Andy Jurgensen as One Battle After Another projects for the Boulder community at the Muenzinger Auditorium

As a member of the CU Boulder 2026 class, I have taken on several leadership roles within the student community. I am proud to be the Co-Founder and Former President, and now Student Advisor of Give Us The F--king Camera Productions!
GUT-C! is a student organization dedicated to empowering peers through hands-on filmmaking experiences and advocacy for student-led projects.
Majoring in film production, I love to work with others to create projects and produce. I have no shortage of experience in video editing, lighting, on set training, project management, graphic design, and event planning.
